A pile of yellow, green and red peppers at Union Square Market – 3:49PM July 13, 2009

These peppers had a wonderful inside glow from the reflected summer afternoon sunlight. I didn’t quite know what I had captured until I viewed them on a large monitor, as the three inch screen on my Canon didn’t show what was really there.

Magic…It’s what happens when you take chances. In this case, shoving the camera lens into the pile of peppers.

I have recently gotten into photography, I also have a cannon and I was wondering what kind of cannon do you have and do you have different filters or lenses for it. My cannon doesn’t come with lenses for it, but I can purchase filters which I have started to do.
Thank you for listening to my rambling! I hope to hear from you!

For my “Shooting from the Hip” snapshots I use a Canon G10 because it’s low profile, has a fairly wide angle (28º) and shoots RAW format. It has a nice fat 3″ LCD for viewing, too. In the studio I’m using a Leaf Aptus 75 digital camera back on a Hasselblad ELX, the same camera they took to the moon (my camera never got to the moon, but it’s that old…) or a Digiflex II, a pretty esoteric hybrid camera body that uses Hasselblad medium format digital backs with Nikon 35mm lenses. I haven’s used filters since I started shooting high end digital in 1998. Photoshop has a wide range of “camera filters” and there are quite a few third party developers as well, who make digital photo filters. Good luck with your photography!
